Why Use Calcium, Vitamin D3 & K2

Calcium, D3, K2 and magnesium have different roles in the same system. Four nutrients, with every active dose listed.
Support Bone Density

Support Bone Density

Calcium citrate with vitamin D3 and K2 (MK-7) supports normal bone maintenance and calcium use.

Support Muscle Function

Support Muscle Function

Calcium and magnesium support normal muscle contraction and nerve function.

Cover a Common Gap

Cover a Common Gap

600 IU of vitamin D3 provides 100% of the label RDA as a daily maintenance dose, rather than a deficiency-treatment dose.

WE COULD HAVE JUST SAID IT WORKS.

So here's everything :

Calcium + Vitamin D3

KEY INGREDIENTS

Four actives per two-tablet serving, with the mineral forms, elemental amounts and vitamin doses listed.

Calcium Citrate
Essential Minerals

Calcium Citrate

2100 mg calcium citrate provides 441 mg elemental calcium (44.1% label RDA). Supports normal bones, teeth and nerve transmission; can be taken without food.
Magnesium Oxide
Essential Minerals

Magnesium Oxide

300 mg magnesium oxide provides 180 mg elemental magnesium (41% label RDA). Supports bone mineralisation and normal muscle function. Oxide is not a high-absorption magnesium form.
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)
Co-factors

Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)

15 mcg (600 IU), 100% label RDA, supports normal calcium absorption and use. This maintenance dose is not a treatment for vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin K2 (MK-7)
Co-factors

Vitamin K2 (MK-7)

55 mcg menaquinone-7, 100% label RDA, supports vitamin K-dependent proteins involved in normal bone maintenance.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT ALL

Explore The Research Behind Our Formula

Calcium + Vitamin D

Calcium plus vitamin D supplementation and risk of fractures — Weaver et al.

Osteoporosis International 2016

A meta-analysis of 8 trials involving 30,970 adults reported lower total and hip fracture risk with calcium plus vitamin D. Doses and populations differed from this formula, and an erratum/additional analysis was subsequently published. This is not a trial of the finished product.

Evidence
Calcium + Vitamin D

Vitamin D and calcium for the prevention of fracture — Yao et al.

JAMA Network Open 2019

Across 6 trials and 49,282 participants, combined vitamin D and calcium was associated with a 16% lower hip-fracture risk. Calcium doses were 1000–1200 mg daily, above this serving's 441 mg; the result cannot be applied directly to this product.

Evidence
Vitamin K2 • Bone

Three-year low-dose menaquinone-7 supplementation and bone loss — Knapen et al.

Osteoporosis International 2013

In 244 postmenopausal women, 180 mcg MK-7 daily for 3 years slowed decline in some bone measures. That dose is about 3.3 times this serving's 55 mcg. The trial does not demonstrate the same result from this maintenance-level formula.

Evidence
Vitamin K2 • Arteries

Menaquinone-7 supplementation and arterial stiffness — Knapen et al.

Thrombosis and Haemostasis 2015

In 244 postmenopausal women taking 180 mcg MK-7 daily for 3 years, some arterial-stiffness measures improved, particularly with greater baseline stiffness. This product provides 55 mcg. These findings are not a claim that this formula prevents arterial calcification or cardiovascular disease.

Evidence
Calcium Citrate • Absorption

Meta-analysis of calcium bioavailability: citrate versus carbonate — Sakhaee et al.

American Journal of Therapeutics 1999

Fifteen studies involving 184 participants found higher calcium absorption from citrate than carbonate under the tested fasting and fed conditions. This compares mineral forms; it does not measure absorption of the finished formula.

Evidence
Calcium Citrate • Dose

Dose dependency of calcium absorption — Harvey et al.

Journal of Bone and Mineral Research 1988

In 21 healthy adults, urinary calcium responses were higher for citrate than carbonate at tested elemental-calcium doses. Most of the response increased up to about 500 mg. These controlled load-test results do not establish a clinical outcome from this product.

Evidence
Magnesium • Muscle

Oral magnesium and physical performance in elderly women — Veronese et al.

American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2014

139 older women in a mild exercise programme were allocated to magnesium oxide providing 300 mg magnesium daily or a control group for 12 weeks. Some physical-performance measures improved. The control group had no placebo; the studied dose exceeds this serving's 180 mg.

Evidence
Magnesium • Bone

Impact of magnesium on bone health in older adults — Groenendijk et al.

Bone 2022

A review of observational studies in adults aged 60 and over found a positive association between magnesium intake and hip bone mineral density in a four-study meta-analysis. Association does not prove that magnesium supplementation or this formula prevents fractures.

Evidence

NEED TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

They have complementary roles: D3 supports calcium absorption, vitamin K supports bone-related proteins, magnesium contributes to bone mineralisation and muscle function, and calcium supplies the mineral. Evidence differs by nutrient.
